Anna Xu is a dancer and composer. 

Her work explores wonder and perception, and her practice is informed by Daoist mysticism and metaphysics. 

She makes dances to research energy and the fourth dimension by integrating contemporary dance and martial arts. 

She composes experimental music that evokes earthly feelings and otherworldly soundscapes by utilizing pentatonic patterns, polyrhythms, and nonlinear dynamics. 

She curates Ecotones, immersive multidisciplinary arts performances in nature that reimagine the relationships of people with the Earth and each other. 

She lives and works in California.
